Its intuitive user interface and advanced features make it easy to store, manage, and retrieve data from the cloud. If you needed reason to stay away it's right here.Bottom Line: Zoolz is the perfect cloud backup tool for businesses of all sizes. Or the fact that they send emails saying "On October 15th account data will be deleted from our servers." and "this will certainly affect the ability for some customers to effectively retrieve their data" on September 30th as the first warning, then claim they're being helpful by offering a dedicated email address rather than just giving people a bit more time in the first place. Or read the actual review which clearly states I've had my account for longer than a year. As you can see from the response below, their way of dealing with unhappy customers is to quote company lines, not even add the tiniest bit of personal touch such as "sorry we can't honour our promise of a lifelong account". Or, you know, your account being shut down with 2 weeks' warning. Whatever you buy will come with limitations they don't initially mention or added cost later. Giving it 1 star because it was easy enough to use and a good deal at the time, but yeah, don't trust Zoolz. Added bonus - they're now closing all private accounts with 2 weeks' notice or you'll lose your data (imagine being away from home for a while and coming back to that!), telling customers the solution is "no longer supported" but they can move to a Business version for an annual payment for half the space they had before. I had a lifetime plan but it turns out they make it almost impossible to use efficiently after a year or so unless you want to pay more. I trust you will be able to accept service papers at your London office: Genie9 LTD, Level 1, 184 Shepherds Bush Rd, Hammersmith, London W6 7NLĪwful money making machine. ![]() I suggest others act similarly by doing a search for the small claims court UK. ![]() If you do that I will file a small claims court application to recover the subscription fee which was paid in good faith for a lifetime back-up service. For those that can start a Section 75 Consumer Credit Act charge back do! - In reply to Zoolz message I anticipate that you will breach our agreement in 14 days. There is no easy to use interface for this and it looks like a company that specialises in back-ups is going to renege on their agreements and delete the user's data. Today I received an email advising me that the product was discontinued and I have only 14 days to download all my data. I paid 60 GBP for a lifetime subscription to the service in July 2018. And you better extend that deadline to let people get their data off, your future buisness will probably depend on it. You took peoples money now own-up to what you sold them, not just because its not profitable enough. I work in IT for a large Telco and make choices of software and providers and I go through the reviews of companies like this to look for these types of things, thats why we don't use software like logmein, teamviewer because of stupid stunts like your doing. You sold a product that you are trying to weasel out of the obligations of that contract, first by canceling the maintenance, and now by legal means. Personally i think your company should be sued and forced to reimburse everyone who bought a 'lifetime' contract. Just got the email this morning stating that they are cancelling the Home Service, including "lifetime" contracts although they don't specifically say that, which again to me is deceptive. I'm not able to download any of my files with only 13 days remaining. Update : Zoolz support has been ignoring my emails. I'm still stuck with 500GB of data needing to be downloaded before October 15. ![]() On my Zoolz online account there is no "download" button like shown in their screenshots after selecting my folders. Both of these methods do not work! Restoring from the vault the window is stuck on "Readying files for restore" for the last 24 hours and it does not go anywhere. They only provided me a link to instructions how to restore my data off their application and web site. Will I be able to finish before the deadline? This is nonsense! Update : Zoolz & BigMIND Helpdesk replied my email and it was completely useless. So I'm stuck downloading everything manually. They will delete all our data and not provide a proper way for us to download it all before that date. All Zoolz Home users will have 14 days to retrieve their data from the cloud.
